Holidays in Manhattan

‘Tis the season for bundling up in our favorite winter outfits and soaking in the beauty of New York City all decked out in lights!

There is something about the holiday season in Manhattan that is just magical. From the lighting of the Rockefeller Center tree to the Holiday markets popping up in parks, and strings of lights adorning trees citywide it is a special time of year to explore New York City.
Our idea of a perfect morning in Manhattan starts with a comfy top and jeans topped with a fuzzy scarf, followed by a strong espresso at the trendy Nespresso Cafe on Madison Ave. Their modern decor creates the ideal setting for a casual morning chat over breakfast while preparing for the day ahead. We love to check out the wintery window displays at all of the top designer stores.
Making your way down Madison will lead you right into midtown and the Bryant Park Winter Village. We love to explore the holiday markets that pop up in NYC parks this time of year, and Bryant Park is a favorite because, aside from all the goodies available at the shops, there is also an ice skating rink to take a few twirls on! Or simply enjoy watching the skaters glide by to get in the holiday spirit.
After a morning of shopping and taking in the holiday sights, warm up with some lunch at our favorite boulangerie, Maison Kayser. Whether it’s an organic quinoa salad you crave or some authentic French pastries and coffee to get you through the day, we always love stopping in at one of their locations to refuel. And how could you leave without grabbing a loaf or two of fresh baked bread to take home? Yum!
What better way to look chic and city-casual all morning than by bundling up in a comfy Michael Stars top in the softest fabric imaginable to keep you warm and cozy while walking around the city. A pair of jeans from Citizens of Humanity or J brand are always our go-to. Keep warm in a pretty plaid scarf and cozy winter hat as finishing touches for a casual winter outfit.
Now, who’s ready for a hot coffee and some holiday cheer?
